Back

If one thing is synonymous with New Zealand, it's sheep. Yet since the 1990s, sheep numbers and wool production have significantly declined. Wool prices remain low while production costs continue to rise, meaning farmers are wearing coarse wool production as a cost rather than a commodity.

Woolchemy is out to change that. Through patented science and technology (as the name suggests, Wool + Alchemy), Woolchemy uses organic chemistry to transform wool into effective, sustainable materials for hygiene products.

We began our work by understanding the innovation of the product, then set out to build a brand that takes inspiration from the process and benefits: traceability and absorbency.

The brand's monogram - a 'W' that mirrors the crimped, elastic structure of the transformed wool fibres while illustrating traceability through a single fluid line — from farm to product and back — within a closed system.

Now this entrepreneurial wool brand feels confident, looks credible and is market-ready to partner with global manufacturing giants while staying true to their values across all communication touchpoints.

It's a win-win-win for the environment, social good, and company responsibility.
